Clark’s Self Defense, Inc.

Clark's Self Defense was founded and established by Derrick Clark in 1999. Derrick began Martial Arts training more than 25 years ago at the age of 8. He is now a certified fifth degree black belt in Kempo Karate and a certified Pressure Points Instructor with supplemental training in Shotokan Karate, Okinawan and Wu Shu Weaponry, Jujitsu and Kung Fu. At the age of 12 he became one of the youngest black belt instructors in the Northeast. In 1994 Derrick created the S.A.F.A. (Stopping Attacks Safe and Effectively) program for children. It has now been incorporated into the curriculum taut at the studios.
Since our opening, our goal has always been to provide a place for people of all ages to learn practical self defense in a safe and friendly environment. We believe that everyone, regardless of their age and abilities should be able to learn how to defend themselves.
