“It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Dojos”
It’s beginning to look a lot like dojos,
Everywhere you go,
Take a look in the training hall, glistening once again,
With kids in gis and belts, all set to show.
A gift that helps in school, with focus, and with grades,
At home, they learn respect in so many ways,
And to keep them safe and sound with skills they’ll proudly use,
It’s the martial arts package, the gift that parents choose.
It’s beginning to look a lot like dojos,
Lessons in each pack,
But the prettiest sight to see is the joy that will be,
On your own front door, when kids come back.
A pair of gloves and a shiny new belt,
Dreams of being strong and how great that felt,
Laugh and learn with every kick and stance,
In the dojo, they’ll advance.
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait,
For school to start again,
It’s beginning to look a lot like dojos,
Everywhere you go,
There’s a tree in the grand hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn’t mind the snow.
It’s beginning to look a lot like dojos,
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring, is the carol that you sing,
Right within your heart.
So, let’s head to the nearest dojo and pick up a Christmas pack,
Uniforms, lessons, and so much more,
It’s the martial arts gift galore!
